It recognizes that we are all part of the big picture. With our awareness of both national and global responsibility, our company processes are built on our core value, ethics. With our long-standing belief in making all our processes in the most accurate way, within the scope of our “Zero Waste” project, training is organized for our employees and practitioners to raise awareness about the application, the raw material wastes of the products we produce are evaluated, and monitoring studies are carried out on the realization of the application at regular intervals.

  • The raw materials that increase in the production processes of quince jam and pumpkin jam are given to sheep and cattle breeders in our region to feed their animals.
  • Vegetable and fruit wastes from sauce and jam production are used as fertilizer.
  • Date vinegar is produced from the residues after the date processing process.
  • After the date processing process, the seeds are given to people in need for drying and using as fuel in summer.

“Zero Waste”; It is a target defined as a waste management philosophy that includes preventing waste, using resources more efficiently, preventing or minimizing waste generation by reviewing the causes of waste generation, and collecting and recycling waste separately at the source in case of occurrence.

The disposal of wastes without being evaluated in the recycling and recovery process causes serious resource losses in terms of both material and energy. While the population and living standards in the world increase, there is an inevitable increase in consumption, which increases the pressure on our natural resources and upsets the balance of the world, and our limited resources cannot keep up with the increasing needs.

Considering this situation, the importance of efficient use of natural resources becomes even more evident. For this reason, in recent years, zero waste implementation studies have become widespread all over the world, both individually, institutionally and throughout the municipality.

Advantages to be provided by taking the zero waste approach as a basis;

  • increase in productivity,
  • Increasing performance due to clean environment,
  • Reducing costs as waste is avoided,
  • Ensuring the reduction of environmental risks,
  • Ensuring that employees have a sense of “sensitive consumer” as it contributes to the development of environmental protection awareness within the organization,
  • Ensuring that the institution has the title of “Environmentalist” in national and international markets, thereby increasing its prestige.
